Reconnect Services partners with Local Authorities across the UK to improve outcomes for children and young people in care.
Led by experienced social workers and clinical consultants, our work is grounded in trauma-informed practice and focused on creating stable, long-term outcomes for children and young people.
We design and deliver tailored transition programmes that support children to move safely from residential homes into family-based or supported community settings, where appropriate. Reunification is always the primary aim, and every child or young person’s needs are individually assessed to shape a specialist transition plan focused on the right long-term outcome, whether through family reunification, kinship care, foster care, or semi-independent living.
By reducing disruption and increasing stability, our approach helps children and young people achieve better long-term outcomes, while also supporting Local Authorities with sufficiency challenges.
Where residential care remains the right option for a child or young person, Reconnect works collaboratively with Local Authorities and providers to achieve significant reductions in care packages, including safely transitioning support models such as a 3:1 care to 1:1 care where appropriate, without compromising outcomes or stability.
Alongside this, Reconnect help Local Authorities grow their Foster Carer population through targeted, locally tailored recruitment campaigns that are designed to reach people with highly transferable skills and the potential to provide safe, nurturing homes. Our campaigns generate meaningful enquiries and support the development of sustainable fostering capacity.
Importantly, Reconnect works on a payment-upon-results basis, meaning Local Authorities only pay when agreed outcomes are achieved. This removes upfront cost barriers and keeps the focus firmly on delivering clear, measurable, and lasting impact.
