Made Tech

Software in local government is broken. Exorbitant contracts. Bloated products. Failed needs. There’s a better way. We build disruptive SaaS products to solve challenges shared by councils all over the UK. Products which meet real needs, right now.

We want to free every organisation from the burden of “software solutions” which are not fit for purpose.

We believe we can and should do better for councils and the people they serve.

We have three products:

  1. Repairs; We’ve designed the most accessible online housing repairs reporting tool for residents of social housing that connects directly to scheduling tools, housing management systems or housing/ repairs teams. As well as being responsive, and using the Government Design System, the software is login-free meaning it’s easier than ever for residents to report repairs.

With the software, residents will be less likely to call and email, giving your housing repairs team more time to focus on priority/ emergency cases and support vulnerable tenants.

  1. Voids; Our Voids prioritisation software helps councils and housing associations sort their voids to focus on the properties that could be completed fastest. Our algorithm cuts down relet times by an average of 20% and can even reprioritise voids based on immediate needs to match specific demands (such as number of bedrooms, wheelchair accessibility and suitability for pets)

  2. Evidence; Evidence is a tool used to automatically request, verify and nudge residents for specific documents tied to various application types. It can verify ID and eligibility (such as addresses, bank statements and recipes) and can be set up and used across a number of different use cases.

The Future of Voids | Voids Management and Innovation Webinar 2024

Empty council properties, known as voids, present a significant challenge for local authorities. Due to the current process of managing voids, properties routinely stay empty for 30-50 days. During this time councils and housing associations cannot collect any rent on them.

With housing register waiting lists as long as 10 years, we must bring thought leaders from different organisations together to problem-solve the current challenges that affect so many people.

For this webinar, we’ve invited a select group of senior leaders from councils and housing associations to join us for what will be a very special panel to discuss the challenges within voids management and their vision for the future.

In this panel, we’ll discuss:
